Her Charity-of-Choice: "Julie's Purse Project"
"Julie's Purse Project" is a donation-based charity, started by Julie Nakayama in 2015. She fills purses with basic essentials such as combs, small hand sanitizers, etc - and donates them to various women organizations (including Women's Empowerment, Nomadic Shelter, Stand Up Placer, Blue Heart International, and Community Against Sexual Harm).
DATE OF CHARITY EVENT: SATURDAY, JULY 20th
"Me Time": 1-3pm, Children drop off (ages 3-12).
First, you are welcome to drop off your kids from 1-3pm at the Creative Arts & Music Center - so that you can enjoy a little "Me Time" for 2 hours! We will host an afternoon of games, music, crafts, and a yummy snack for your children.
"Mingle Time": 6-9pm, Adults Only
As the evening unfolds, adults are welcome back to enjoy some "mingle time" with other parents. We will engage in inspirational festivities and creative crafts, all while enjoying delectable and decadent appetizers!

You are welcome to participate in one or both events that day! In exchange, we are requesting donations for "Julie's Purse Project": new or gently used purses, make-up bags, travel size toiletries, unused make-up, combs and brushes, small hand sanitizers, feminine products, tissues, wet wipes, gently used gloves and scarves, granola/protein bars, or cash donations.
